Idaho Family History

Dawn Fluckiger Morgan 1974 Emmett, Idaho.
  • A girl named after my Grandpa, born on my Dad’s birthday.
  • I play the piano. Newly married, my husband had to buy me a Yamaha Piano before he bought his Yamaha 4-wheeler.
  •  4-wheeling is one of my favorite things to do outside even though I had a sister die in a 4-wheeling accident.
  • Didn’t like the outdoors so much after being lost in the woods two days! First time ever my Grandpa happened to be lost and the horses didn’t know either. Wished that I was on a 4-wheeler with trail from then on.
  • Grew up with my Great-Grandpa taking me fishing and to reunions, so I know all my Great Aunts and Uncles.
  • Hence, some reason’s why I love family histories and the olden days!
  • Have over 74 cousins. I love them all even though some thought I tried to drown them. I had too much fun at cousins expense!
  • During college, after high school, I worked at Taco Bell. Being a manager, I had to talk with the rude customers, which almost always turned out to be friends and family. Taco Bell is still my favorite food, and I never got sick of it, even when I had it free 5 or 6 days a week.
  • Never broke a bone… knock on wood… and hope to never, after seeing my son brake his leg. Really don’t want that again! Wait I broke my little toe, being bare-foot, working on top of a Big Beet Pile (can’t remember who told me I would work faster without shoes!)
  • Raised on a farm with 3 sisters (brother’s didn’t show up until after), so we changed piped, lifted hay bails, butchered chickens… you name it, we did it.
  • Oh, I love to swim, too! Didn’t know you could have swim lessons, I was just thrown in and said to swim. We had an natural hot artesian well. We swam all year long, even in the winter, with snow falling. Maybe that’s why I first got pneumonia in 3rd grade.
  • I love card and board games. At 3, my daughter, was an ace playing me at Skipbo. At 5, I had her playing Rook! Now with Disney Uno, Idaho Monpoly, and Clue, I can’t stop her from playing. We play the competitive way, adding up the points… My daughter’s very good at math!
  • I’ve babysat since 11 years old, and never quit. Even after marring, I still watch other’s kids, and wonder if I’ll ever stop changing diapers. But remember using cloth diapers in the toilet, so I’m very thankful for throw-a-ways!
  • Never lived by myself. Always had great roommates. Loved choosing new sisters!
  • I hate scrap booking and taking pictures! Really I do, but I love scrapbooks! Just wish I didn’t have to do it. I’m glad my sister’s do and I copy from them!
  • Growing-up I was the quite child, rarely got in trouble, but most don’t know I got spanked by a teacher. Okay, that teacher didn’t like me. Maybe because after that my mom let it known that no other teacher or anyone will ever lay a hand on me! That was her job! (I don’t remember my mom ever spanking me, that was left to my dad and I can’t count the times.)
  • Volleyball has to be mentioned! Love it. In High school, I was the Bench Warmer-most improved sub. I kept at it, love it, love it, and can be competitive.
  • Love Badminton, too. My best summer was when I was at my Grandparents (beside getting wood, which I liked it because with cousins help it was fun), playing Badminton and volleyball. The funniest ever!
